USSEC Soymilk and Tofu Procedure NCI

NCI Mase Soymilk & Tofu Pilot Plant

NCI’s soymilk and tofu processing system is a scale down mimic of large commercial production. It requires only 2 kilograms of soybeans for making tofu and 1.5 kilogram of soybeans for making soymilk. This system is used for evaluating soybean quality and demonstrating soymilk and tofu production to visitors and short-course attendants. The system is used to develop new products and process for helping customers of food-grade soybeans.

Identity Preserved soybeans have had their identifiable traits maintained through all steps of production and transportation to the end-user using an IP system or process. Variety, production method and price are usually established by contract. IP soybeans are segregated and defined by variety, type, modification, region of origin, or growing practice. Short course on how to source U.S. Identity Preserved (IP) soybeans

SSGA University is an online educational platform that teaches the U.S. Identity Preserved system for U.S.-grown field crops. Importers and other buyers will learn how the U.S. Identity Preserved system for specialty soybeans and grains are grown and processed in the United States, how to purchase them as well as the core considerations and benefits of using U.S. IP crops as ingredients in the foods and products you manufacture. Upon completion, participants will receive an official completion certificate from SSGA, along with access to SSGA’s Identity Preserved technical manuals, to further investigate into these subject areas and keep for future reference.
